Here is some information about productions farther in the future:
July-August 2008: A summer workshop series called Paving the Way to Realism, featuring lectures, demonstrations, and scene study about theatre in the Edwardian era, including the playwrights George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, Eugene O'Neill, Anton Chekov, and others, and the influence of the great director Constantin Stanislavski. We expect to hold four to six sessions on Thursday evenings at the Cliftondale Congregational Church. Watch this space for further news.
13-15 November 2008: The Crucible, the drama by Arthur Miller about the Salem Witch Trials. To be presented at the Saugus Town Hall. Auditions probably in late August 2008.
January-February 2009: Either a production emerging out of the summer 2008 workshops, or a musical revue, to be determined.
May 2009: Guys and Dolls, the musical about gamblers and their girlfriends, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.
Positions Open:
We are now looking for a Director for The Crucible.
For Guys and Dolls we are looking for the Director, Musical Director, and Choreographer. We can engage individuals, but may prefer to hire a team.
